My mom asked me to make a list appropriate for a 4 year-old that is just starting his own adventures with super-heroes. Maybe this will be useful for you too. I pay really close attention to the ratings of comics.
- Superman might be a good place to start. Warning: Most superman comics contain some romantic content between Superman and Lois Lane that is usually inappropriate for little kids. And also Most of the superman comics contain some violence that also may be inappropriate for Little kids. I would recommend the Super Friends cartoons from the 1970's or some other kind of 70's superhero cartoons.
- Batman comics have violence that's almost always inappropriate for little kids. It should also be known that Bruce Wayne is a Playboy, two reasons that the comics aren't good for Little kids. I would once again reccomend the Super Friends cartoons from the 70's. I would also reccomend the 1966 Batman movie starring Adam West and Burt Ward. (Both Superman and Batman are DC characters)
- The Incredibles would be a great introduction.
- Spider man cartoons would be a great place to start if you wanted an Introduction to Marvel.
